Flooded Bathroom Causes Water Damage to Drywall
In the pictures above, a homeowner experienced a leak resulting in a flooded bathroom. Before any assessment all water sources were promptly shut off. Our crew assessed the floor in the bathroom, the hallway, and any other areas surrounding the bathroom. The water damage extended to the drywall and carpet in the hallway. As the flooded bathroom was on the second floor the ceiling directly underneath was affected as well. This particular job called for more than removing water and mitigating the damage. The crew needed to remove the drywall to allow for complete drying in the wall. A portion of the ceiling under the bathroom was also removed to dry in between the two floors.
